ragweed is hosting a monthly creative writing workshop, the ‘ragweed gardening group’, focused on working with public archives.
what we envision:
monthly video-conference sessions: dive into themed archives (of photographs, love letters, newspapers, census data) and respond through guided prompts.skill-building workshops: learn archival research and historical fiction techniques from guest archivists and authors. explore digitized collections from libraries, museums, and global repositories.
supportive feedback: share work in a nurturing environment and refine your craft.
annual anthology: contribute to a collective publication showcasing our archival-inspired creations.
who should join?
writers of all genres and experience levels.history buffs interested in blending research with creativity.
